The Conference of Deans of French-Speaking Faculties of Medicine (La Conférence des doyens de médecine - CDD) and the National Council of Universities for Health Disciplines (Le Conseil national des universités pour les disciplines de santé - CNU Santé) have compiled a list of journals in which they recommend publishing the research results.

They assumed that many journals are predatory and should be ignored. CDD and CNU Santé formulated about twenty criteria to avoid falling into this trap. Examples are: very short deadlines for reviewing and publishing articles; lack of clarity in the description of the manuscript review process and in the application of various fees; the name of the journal or the configuration of a website is close to a recognized and influential journal; a website that emphasizes the process of submitting articles and paying more than viewing the contents of the journal; unqualified international scientists, sometimes even deceased or imaginary, in the editorial board...
